This meeting kicked off the start of our 5-week Speechcraft program. Experienced Voyagers Toastmasters introduce various aspects of communication and leadership fundamentals to program participants. Speechcraft participants receive workbooks and practice the skills they learn within the context of a Toastmasters meeting. Speechcrafters are paired with club members to mentor and support them through the process.
At the conclusion of the Speechcraft program, participants may choose to join Voyagers for a prorated membership fee. In addition, participant speeches will count towards the Competent Communicator rating.

Darren LaCroix, 2001 Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking, will be at Voyagers, one of the most dynamic and most experienced Toastmaster Clubs in San Diego County on Thursday, March 28th at 7:00am PDT.
This is your chance to meet Darren and find out a little of what it takes to become a World Champion speaker. In addition, you will have a chance to hear Mark Epstein as he delivers his local award winning contest speech… then be “evaluated” by Darren… helping him improve on his journey to the world title in August.
In 2001, Darren LaCroix, out-spoke 25,000 contestants from 14 countries to win that title. That 5-7 minute speech was just a benchmark. Since that victory, Darren has traveled the globe demystifying the process of creating a powerful speech. He has roused audiences in faraway places like Saudi Arabia, China, Oman, Malaysia, and Taiwan with his inspirational journey from first-rate chump to first-class champ, proving anything is possible if you are willing to work for it.
Darren is known as the person who helps speakers launch their careers in professional speaking. His trademarked program Get Paid to Speak by Next Week® has helped many speakers launch their very first checks. He also supports speakers doing business coaching through his internet program, Get Paid to Speak TV.
