What happened here? – October 5th

It was exciting. It was world changing. Well maybe not revolutionary but it not a good meeting.

We learned all sorts of vital information about October 5th as we celebrated the birth of Anaheim and the first televised Presidential address from the White House, thanks to Toastmaster Jan C. October 5th will no longer just be another day in history to us!

Terry H. taught us that a used bike can be infinitely more valuable than a new car. Rene R. challenged us to use “colorful language” appropriately. And Guest Robb L. showed how both men and women should embrace feminism.

What did you miss last week?

Our September 28th Meeting was great. Where you there? 17 Voyagers attended.

Maria F. was toastmaster and set the theme of “Weddings.” She shared her recent experience of her son’s destination wedding and described it as a graceful fusion of old traditions with modern twists.

Simon V educated us with his speech, Creating Lasting Behavioral Changes and we learned how important it is for a person to be willing to change and to have an engaged support group around them.

Luke E. shared his wedding day experience and how he chose the wedding venue because it came with the use of a Porsche 911!

Justin S. demonstrated how the speech creation process of an experienced Toastmaster can flow easily and gave us a personal and relevant speech on the Law of Attraction.
