I’d tell you what a wonderful meeting we had on Thursday, Nov 14, 
but I don’t have time because I’m heading out of town for a reunion weekend in Boston. I could tell you what a great job our TM Diana Bergman did with the theme of “The Frost is on the Pumpkin”, or what great speeches Kevin Swanson, Felicia Douglis, and Hal Slater gave…or how good the feedback was from evaluators Jane Flaherty, Suzi O’Brien, and Beth Bateman, or that we had six guests, an Area Governor visit, earned a Golden Gavel for our excellent meeting, and that we had three first timers as functionaries…but I don’t have time.
Dates: Dec. 5 30th Anniversary meeting; Dec. 15, in the evening, Holiday Party and Anniversary Celebration.
Welcome new member James (I don’t know his last name because I don’t have your paperwork). Nice to have you a Voyager. If anyone has James’s email please forward this to him until I get him on the club roster.

Diana Hussey set up and coordinated the Voyagers Toastmasters Summer Party at Olivewood Gardens. This is a very cool and interesting facility. Kudos to Diana for making this happen. We ate, we drank, we stumbled around and we played games. And, there were a herd of little potential Voyagers enjoying the party, the sunshine and the gardens.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Summer Picnic this year! The food was delicious, the garden was blooming, the weather was fantastic, and the people were stellar! We are sorry that not everyone was able to attend.
Mark E entertained our small flock of kids with an awesome story about “Looks Funny”, an eagle raised by bunnies! Trisha, Jane F, and Justin all pitched in to lead a Water Balloon toss and the Dizzy Bat Race. We finished off by taking a very informal tour of Olivewood Gardens.
All in all, not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It was great to see some former members too – Sally, Daniel, Marco, and Laurie! In addition to those already mentioned above, special gratitude to those who helped with party ideas, set-up, clean-up, etc. – Teresa, Kimberly, Hal, Beth, Jan, Mark S, and Donna. Voyagers rocks!
What a fun holiday party at Wine Steals in East Village, San Diego. Great to see everyone in a more social environment than our typical Thursday meeting. Mike Scharff was the Toastmaster, Trisha organized the party, and our entertainment consisted of Table Topics, Comedy and Trivia Questions, and some Improv games including the all knowing Oracle.
